New Release - Twin Cities

Posted on

Today I’m delighted to welcome debut author, K.D. Thomas. K.D.'s first novel, Twin Cities, is published by J.Ellington Ashton Press. K.D had already written this novel when she attended one of my creative writing classes. I thought it sounded fantastic and am delighted that she’s secured herself a publisher for not one but two of her novels. Her second novel, Blue Moon will be released soon by the same publisher. Well done, K.D. :)

And to whet your appetite, here's the blurb.

Tom is an ordinary man, living an ordinary life. He’s married with a job, a wife, two kids and a mortgage. Everything is as it should be, until he starts to believe he’s losing his mind.

Scenes of violence, rape and murder fill his head, making him question everything he thought he knew about himself. Is it possible he’s really committing these terrible crimes?

You can buy it from Amazon
It sounds fascinating,  K.D.

I asked K.D. to tell us a bit about herself

How did you get started writing?

I’ve been writing for years. Actually my first work (a novella) was called Shades of Grey – no, not that one! Then I kept coming up with story ideas and it just
mushroomed. Now I’ve written three screenplays and am halfway through my sixth novel. To be honest, it was only after doing a creative writing course I
actually got the confidence to submit something. It went to a publisher known to be open to submissions and the rest, as they say, is history!

Can you tell us a fun fact about yourself?

I’m actually trained as a cardiac nurse.

What’s your top writing tip for new writers?

Humm... I would have to say keep writing and editing what you write. Plus – and this is a biggie – read as much as you can!

About K.D.

K.D. lives and writes in Worcester. Having been made redundant by the NHS 19 months ago, she now spends her time painting furniture and making jewellery which she sells at craft fairs, oh yes, and she writes of course!

You can find out more about her on her Website

Thanks for dropping by to tell us about your book, K.D.
